Bud nennst du männlich?????? Also ich fand ihn auch sehr sympathisch, aber er ist ein von Weisheit verweichlichter Typ, also mehr eine Frau.....

...ausserdem war bei der Wohnwagenszene von vorneherein klar, dass er sie schon bemerkt hatte! Das war doch eine Reminiszenz an die Szene mit Sean Connery in 'the untouchables', oder?! *totalschlauschau*

@imdb: schöne Debatte daüber, was Kill Bill eigentlich IST:
I love all of QT's other movies (even Jackie Brown) but this one did not do it for me. The whole premise was so cheesy and over done by thousands of other (and better) martial arts movies. If you want to see a quality recent martial arts moive, rent HERO.
I liked "Kill Bill" because I thought it was beautiful, passionate, smart, personal and fun as hell. It swallowed me up and kept me so dazzled and delighted by the cacade of images and ideas that my brain hurt for days afterwards. It seemed like real art: the result of one man's passionate engagement with the things that mean the most to him (powerful women and trash culture) 
I don't buy the art movie rap though, It's a QT flick that the majorty of its praisers are QT freaks who whould spend $30 to see him crapping in a tin can. Again rent HERO and then you will have a differnt perspective on the Kill Bill movies.
If QT had wanted to make a pure Kung Fu flick, like HERO or Iron Monkey, it would be 10 times better than what comes out China, and you know this man.
I thought that Kill Bill was supposed to be a pure kung fu movie? If it isn't then what is it. The only other thing it could be is slap stick comedy.

It's a kick-ass, revenge-motivated action movie, involving some themes and visual motifs borrowed from kung-fu movies. And it's a tribute to Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns. And it's a highly fetishized love-letter to Uma Thurman. And it's a showcase for the cinematic enthusiasm's of Quentin's youth. And it's a slapstick comedy. In the end, I guess, you could call "Kill Bill 1" a very impure kung-fu movie.
Das meinte ich mit vielschichtig.

Also mich hat Buds Hinterhalt völlig überrascht  (außerdem hab ich das mit dem Steinsalz etliche Minuten lang nicht kapiert und hab mich gefragt, warum sie nicht tot ist *dumm sei*)
Ich glaub Bud mag es, wenn man ihn unterschätzt, siehe sein Boss im Nachtclub. Bud könnte ihn mit einer Hand das Genick brechen, aber nein, er nimmt den Hut ab und lässt sich zusammenscheißen. Auf eine merkwürdige Maso-Art gefällt ihm die Rolle. Er gibt sich gegenüber seinem Bruder auch fertiger, als er ist, als er sagt, er hätte das Schwert versetzt, für wieviel, 250 Dollar?
Vielleicht ist sogar der ganze versiffte Trailer-Lebensstil eine Art Tarnung, für was auch immer. Damit ihn Kiddo unterschätzt..?
Und das war Johnny Cash, keine Frage.

Rock Salt ist übrigens Natriumchlorid, also normales Kochsalz. Man benutzt das wohl als Bleiersatz in Schrotflinten um kleine Tiere zu jagen.
